Good News: Inside & Outside the Classroom

Inside the Classroom

Year 7 Year Level Leader Nathan Manning brought in his 15 one-week-old baby chicks on Friday. Students enjoyed cuddles with the feathery friends and learned about their eating and sleeping habits.

Thursday 14th November was World Diabetes Day and in recognition of it, Georgia Kelly, who lives with Type 1 diabetes, ran a lolly snake guessing competition to raise funds to support people living with the condition.

There were a handful of people who guessed just one snake away from the total, however, there was only one correct guess! The answer was 111 snakes and the winner was Paige Lee-Dummett who had four guesses. Congratulations Paige-Lee!!

Georgia ran the competition on both Thursday and Friday and would like to thank everyone who had a guess and donated. She raised $133.60 in total! Thank you to everyone for helping us fight this disease!

Ms Parkhouse's dog Ray was all hands on deck this week, visiting classes, playing with students and even lending a paw in the front office!

Also peak year 8 Brody Chisholm's artwork which boasts a striking similarity to Ray. Brodie's artwork is now on display in the office- be sure to come and see his talent!
