End of Year Concert a Blast!

I would like to give a very big and heartfelt thank you to everyone who attended our end of year concert on Wednesday night. As I said in my opening remarks, live music, like any kind of performance involves a high level of risk – there is huge complexity in having multiple musicians performing together and it there is so much work that happens behind the scenes in preparation.

Live performances to avid listeners is what makes all the work worthwhile. Thank you so much for being there to witness the tremendous efforts of our music students this year! It was a great night, and I want to extend a huge congratulations to all our performers! Live performance is very difficult – and in the middle of exam week on a hot evening near the end of the year just makes it even harder!! You all played exceptionally well, and we could not be prouder.

A special shout out to the audience for their participation in the concert band’s rendition of the Bluey theme tune – we know you didn’t expect to be part of the performance, and although you could have been a bit louder you were still very good.

Congratulations to all of our award recipients on the night too – you’ve been exceptional this year and have all worked very hard. We hope that you're proud of your efforts.

We’re taking our show on the road to Anglesea, Geelong, and Melbourne next week with the Symphonic Band and for the first time (at least in a very long time) we’re going to play our last performance of the year back home at the King George Gardens from 1pm on Friday the 29th of November. It’s a free event - all friends and family are welcome!!!
