Year 12 Graduation – The Closing of a Chapter

Last Friday, our Year 12 students gathered together with their families, friends and staff to celebrate a moment that has been 13 years in the making.

Graduation is a significant rite of passage within our College community. It marks far more than the completion of their formal schooling; it represents the closing of a chapter that began for many of our students when they first walked through the College gates as young children. There were moments of laughter, celebration and, inevitably, a few tears as students, staff and families recognised just how far these young men have come. While Graduation marks the end of their time as students at the College, it also represents the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

As they now commence their study break, our Year 12 students have an important period ahead of them as they prepare for their HSC examinations. We encourage them to use this time wisely - to find balance, look after their wellbeing, remain focused and approach their final examinations with confidence and purpose.

On behalf of the College, we wish the Class of 2026 every success as they enter this final stage of their secondary schooling. We are incredibly proud of what they have achieved and, more importantly, of the young men they have become.

The Importance of Rest and Recharge

School holidays provide students with an important opportunity to step away from the demands of the school year, recharge and reset. While academic progress remains important, so too does taking time to rest, connect with loved ones and simply enjoy some time away from the routines and expectations of school.

For our students, particularly those who have worked consistently over the last term, these breaks are an essential part of maintaining balance, wellbeing and motivation. I wish all students, parents/carers and staff a safe and enjoyable holiday break.
