Acting Deputy Principal

A Privilege to Serve

As we conclude another successful term, I am humbled and privileged to be stepping into the role of Acting Deputy Principal while Mr Adrian Byrne takes a period of leave. To be entrusted with this responsibility is a significant honour, and I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving the St Patrick's College community in this capacity.

When I first joined St Patrick's College, it was the College's reputation that attracted me. It was known as a place known first and foremost of strong Catholic faith and Edmund Rice tradition, of high expectations, strong relationships, and a genuine commitment to the formation of young men. What continues to inspire me today and as I move into this role is seeing those values lived out each day by our staff, students, and families. This was well and truly on show at our wonderful Year 12 Graduation events last Friday.  Upholding and strengthening this culture is both a privilege and a responsibility we all share.

As we head into the holiday break, I encourage everyone to take the opportunity to rest, recharge, and enjoy time with family and friends. I wish all members of our College community a safe, restful, and enjoyable holiday period.

Looking ahead to Term 4, students will return in their summer uniform, and I will write to families during the holidays outlining our expectations for the term ahead. While aspects such as uniform, punctuality, grooming, organisation, and preparedness may seem like small matters, they are important foundations of a strong boys' education. These routines help develop responsibility, self-discipline, pride, and respect, ensuring all of our young men arrive each day ready to learn and contribute positively to our community.

Thank you for your continued support. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for a positive and successful Term 4.
