Important Notices

School Photos
School photos were taken on Tuesday 3rd February. If your child was absent on the session then we are doing a catch up day on the morning of Friday 20th February.
This year our photographers, Arthur Reed Photos (ARP) have a system where they will tell us when the photos are available for viewing and your child will receive an individualised code to access the photos. You can then choose if you wish to order and which package suits your families needs.
Lost Property
PLEASE LABEL ALL PERSONAL ITEMS.
Lost Property is kept at the General Office. Please search there for your lost uniform items, pencil cases, books etc. If you have lost any valuables, ie: phone, watch, etc... they are usually handed in to the main office. Items not collected by the end of Term are donated or discarded in the first week of the following Term.
Public Transport 2026
Correction: In previous correspondence from Ventura Bus Lines we were asked to share that the S1087 Bus Timetable would change from Term 1 2026.
We have now been advised that this was incorrect information and the S1087 Bus Timetable will not change and will continue to operate as per the current timetable.
Families can contact Ventura Bus Lines directly if they have any questions.
As always, we recommend that students arrive at their bus stop at least 5 minutes before the scheduled departure time to avoid rushing and potentially missing the bus.
Free Public Transport
A reminder that people aged under 18 can now travel free on all Victorian public transport services using a new youth myki card. This includes trams, trains, buses and coach services.
To access free travel, they must tap the myki card on and off each time they travel. For areas that do not use myki cards, they must show their myki card to travel free.
More information about the youth myki card is available here: myki types webpage on the Transport Victoria website. For more information about other travel options to school, and support for eligible students, refer to the Travelling to school webpage on the Victorian Government website.
School Pick Up/Drop Off
Staff Car Park
Please do not pick up or drop students off in the Staff Carpark off Harold St (near the General office). If you do need to drive through this carpark please note the No Entry signs and follow the one way road markings.
Please be aware that stopping your car in the carpark, however briefly, to let passengers in or out is double-parking and can attract a large fine. For everyone’s sake, please do not drop off or pick up your students in the carpark.
Knox Council are very vigilant at these times and unfortunately, families are frequently fined.
The best drop off and pick up points for the college are:
The designated 2 Minute drop off and pick up zone on Harold Street in front of the Home Economics rooms
Georgian Gardens (street opposite school crossing on Harold Street)
Amesbury Avenue (fenceline along the Mooroop Centre)
Templeton Street (South of the roundabout)
- Saxon Street (off Harold Street)
Templeton St Upgrade
We have been advised by Knox Council that the Templeton St Upgrade will be undertaken between February and May 2026. Please read attached letter for more information.
Arriving Late to School
Students are expected to be at school at 8.30am. The first bell rings at 8.40am and classes begin at 8:45am. If you are aware your child will be late to school, parental approval should be submitted in the Compass portal, or by notifying the General Office.
To maximise learning time, students arriving late should head straight to their timetabled class where the classroom teacher will update the roll. Due to a change in policy by the Department of Education in 2023, students will no longer be marked late in the roll. Instead, teachers will create a Late chronicle which will be used to monitor student punctuality. Parents will be able to see the chronicles in Compass, and can discuss with their child the importance of being on time to class, but they will no longer show as unexplained.
Parents should continue to enter approvals for late arrivals where they are aware of the situation. Should a written note from a parent be provided with the student when they arrive, it should be brought to the General Office at recess or lunchtime and it will be entered in Compass.
Please see our regular General Information page for more information, including Student Absences and leaving school early.
