Principal's Report

Dear parents and carers
As the term progresses, students are settling into the rhythm of learning, with assessments and feedback providing valuable opportunities for reflection and growth. Teachers are already seeing encouraging signs of progress as students respond to feedback and continue building their skills and understanding. Learning often makes its greatest leaps when students persevere, reflect on their progress and keep striving for improvement. I encourage families to remain closely connected with our teachers and support staff so that, together, we can continue to support each young person to make the most of their learning.
School life is also enriched by the opportunities we have to gather together as a community beyond the classroom. Our College Athletics Carnival brought students together to celebrate House spirit and participation, with Piperon House finishing the day in first place. It was wonderful to see so many students involved - whether competing or cheering for their House - and I thank the staff whose preparation and enthusiasm helped make the day such a success. I am impressed by our students’ sportsmanship and competitive nature.
As we continue through the season of Lent, many in our community continue to follow global conflicts with concern, including the ongoing violence in the Middle East. We hold in our prayers all those whose lives have been affected by conflict and displacement, including members of our own community who may have loved ones living or travelling in the region.
It was wonderful to see so many staff and students attending the Monivae Community mass at St Mary’s Parish Church on Sunday.
As a community of faith, we pray for peace across our world.
God of peace, guide the hearts of leaders and strengthen all who work for reconciliation.
Bring comfort to those who suffer and hope to those who feel displaced or afraid.
Inspire in each of us the courage to be peacemakers in our own communities.
Amen.
Kind regards
Mr Jonathan Rowe
