Year 3 to Year 6

Dear Junior School Families

Welcome back! We are thrilled to begin what is already shaping up to be a wonderful year filled with exciting occasions, special events, and meaningful learning opportunities for our students from Year 3 to Year 6.

Our Year 6 students have made a fantastic start to the year. They have settled beautifully into their new Learning Spaces and are embracing the responsibilities that come with being the leaders of the Junior School. A special congratulations to our Year 6 House Captains, who are working tirelessly to support their peers and proudly represent Salvado Catholic College. Their commitment and enthusiasm are already making a positive difference in our school community.

In Years 4 and 5, there is a real buzz of excitement with the expansion of both year levels. The introduction of Year 4 White and Year 5 White has brought even more energy to our classrooms. The students are thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to make new friends and build new connections — because the more friends, the better!

Our Year 3 students are also to be commended. The transition from Early Years into Junior School brings new routines, greater independence, and increased academic expectations. They have embraced these significant challenges with confidence and maturity, impressing their teachers with the way they have adjusted and taken everything in their stride.

The Junior School staff are incredibly excited about the year ahead. We look forward to nurturing each child’s growth — academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually — and watching them continue to flourish throughout 2026.

Here’s to a fantastic year ahead in the Junior School!

Regards,

Ms Christine Pitman (Mrs Christine Overing)

Head of Junior School (Year 3 to Year 6)
