Kildare Campus Update

On Tuesday, we concluded our final site meeting for the Stage 2 build, marking a significant milestone as we progress towards project completion by the end of this week. We will complete the furniture fit out in both buildings next week in readiness for our 2025 Year 7 Information Evening tours to be held on Thursday May 2, 2024.

Our community is buzzing with excitement as we anticipate welcoming students into the new Specialist and Learning building and having our Kildare Campus canteen operational in the coming weeks. We eagerly await the opportunities this new space will bring to our campus, enhancing both learning and student life.

Such an exciting time for our community!

As the colder weather begins to seep into the air, it's now time to welcome back all our students for the second term of the academic year. With the freshness of new beginnings and the promise of knowledge waiting to be explored, we will continue to embark on these learning opportunities together at Kildare Campus.

Embracing Second Term: A Time for Growth and Exploration

Second term brings with it a sense of continuity and progress. It's a time to build upon the foundation laid in the previous term, to delve deeper into subjects, and to expand our horizons. Let’s allow ourselves to be the best versions of ourselves and grow together as a St Joseph’s College Echuca learning community.

This term offers opportunities for academic achievement, personal growth, and meaningful connections. It's a chance to engage with peers and teachers, to participate in extracurricular activities, and to pursue passions both inside and outside the classroom. Let's approach this term with curiosity, enthusiasm, and a willingness to learn from each and every experience.

Preparing for Winter's Inclement Weather: Safety First

In terms of the busyness of the second term, it's crucial to remember to prepare for the challenges that cold weather may bring. Here are some reminders to help you stay warm, safe and ready to learn;

  1. Dress Warmly: Wear the school beanie, scarf and jumper to protect yourself from the cold. Proper attire can make a significant difference in staying warm and comfortable during outdoor activities (School uniform only).
  2. Stay Connected: Keep communication channels open with friends, family, and other peers. Be aware of any updates regarding weather-related changes to classes, events, or campus operations.
  3. Be Mindful of Health: Cold weather can also affect our physical and mental wellbeing. Take proactive steps to maintain a healthy lifestyle, including staying hydrated, getting enough rest, and seeking support if you're feeling overwhelmed.

Opening of new buildings: A time for expansion

Excitement levels are high as our Kildare staff and students prepare to move into our new Stage 2 buildings in the coming weeks! The opening of these buildings presents many new learning opportunities for our students and something they are very excited about - a canteen! Further updates regarding the opening of our Stage 2 buildings will be communicated with families in the coming weeks

Wishing everyone a fabulous Term 2 filled with academic achievements, memorable experiences, and moments of inspiration.

Term 2 - Student Reflection

Welcome back to another term ready to be explored!

During the first two weeks we have already had many fun experiences and many more to come!

We have seen school tour groups bustling around Kildare Campus showing future students and parents everything there is to know. It is exciting to think there will be a whole new bunch of students joining us next year!

In the athletics space - cross country on Monday was a massive hit for both campuses with great participation coming from all age groups. Even more exciting was Delany's win!

There have been many opportunities for all students to find something to do at lunch with activities ranging from Running Club to Maths Extension and Just Dance - there definitely is something for everyone.

We can't wait to start using the new facilities in the Stage 2 building soon!

I hope each and every student and staff member has a thrilling rest of term!
