Foundation News

It has been an exciting fortnight in Foundation, with lots of learning and special experiences to enjoy! 

In Literacy, students have continued learning new sounds and tricky words and using these to help them read and write sentences.

In writing, we have been focusing on sentence structure by practising using a capital letter at the beginning, leaving spaces between words, and adding a full stop at the end. It has been wonderful to see students applying these skills with growing confidence in their writing.

In Mathematics, students have been exploring 2D shapes and learning to identify circles, triangles, rectangles, and squares in a variety of activities. 

On Friday, we enjoyed our Fun Run, where students showed great enthusiasm, determination, and joy as they ran, cheered, and celebrated together. Thank you to all the families who joined us and shared in the day, it was wonderful to come together as a school community.

A reminder to all families that the Foundation Building does not open until 8:30am each morning. If you are arriving before 8:30am we kindly ask you to remain with your child or ensure they are dropped at the office. 

Our supervision for students begins at 8:30am. We also have before school care available if needed please contact the office.
