TURNING PAGES & REACHING GOALS

📚✨ Library Update and Reading Program
Our Year 7 and 8 students have been enthusiastically participating in our Reading Program during their library lessons this year. Atthe beginning of the year, students set personal reading goals and have been tracking the books they read throughout the year.
Our Year 7 students are currently enjoying learning about the wide range of genres available in the library. By exploring different styles of books, students are developing a greater understanding of their reading preferences while broadening their reading experiences.
Year 8 students have taken part in the Year 8 Genre Challenge, where they aim to read books from four different genres throughout the year.
As part of this challenge, students focus on exploring two genres during each library lesson and have the opportunity to sample a variety of books, helping them discover new favourites.
Students have also continued to help select and recommend new books for the library collection.
Our Year 9 and 10 Library Warriors have been doing an excellent job assisting with the preparation and processing of new books, ensuring they are ready to be borrowed and enjoyed by the school community.
To encourage and celebrate reading, students receive stickers for the books they complete while also earning valuable points for their House teams.
🏆Congratulations to our current leading classes for books read so far this year!

🃏 UNO Believe It!
A big thank you to Ms McMillan for purchasing three new decks of UNO cards for the School Library.
The cards were requested by students, and Ms McMillan was more than happy to make it happen.
These fast-paced favourites are already set to be a hit, and we look forward to seeing students from all year levels enjoying them together during lunchtimes in the Library.
A great way to connect, have fun, and share some friendly competition!
