WEEK 2 | TERM 3

STUDENTS OF THE WEEK

We would like to thank all of the families who took time out of their busy schedules to attend our Student-Led Conferences. We greatly enjoyed meeting with you and seeing the students so proudly share and discuss their learning.

This term is packed full of exciting activities and deep learning!

• Reading & Writing: We have kicked off the term by diving into the world of poetry.
• Numeracy: Our focus is currently on Time—specifically identifying elapsed time and building our skills in converting between 12- and 24-hour time.
• Inquiry: We are beginning a unit on Biological Science, exploring how living things adapt to their environments in order to survive and thrive. To deepen our understanding, we will be visiting the Werribee Open Range Zoo later this term.
• Wellbeing: Students have been reviewing our classroom expectations and setting personal goals that align with our whole-school values.

Grade 5 and 6 Camp Notice We are thrilled to announce that we have secured a 2-night, 3-day camp for our Grade 5 and Grade 6 students at the YMCA Mt Evelyn Discovery Camp!

• Dates: Wednesday, November 11th – Friday, November 13th
• Approximate Cost: $430
• Payment Due Date: August 20th
