On Friday 7 August, we celebrate Principals' Day 2026 - an opportunity to recognise and thank the dedicated principals and assistant principals who make such a significant contribution to public education.

Our school leaders play an essential role in creating positive, inclusive learning environments where students, staff and families can flourish. Their work extends well beyond the classroom, encompassing educational leadership, student wellbeing, staff development, community partnerships and the continuous improvement of our school.

Today, we acknowledge the dedication, resilience, compassion and leadership demonstrated by principals across Victorian government schools. Their commitment helps shape the success and wellbeing of our entire school community.
