CHEMISTY

YEAR 8
Chemistry has never been so tasty!
Our Year 8 Science students put their chemistry knowledge to the test by building molecules using jubes and toothpicks. Oxygen, hydrogen and nitrogen became edible "atoms" as students created accurate models of water, carbon dioxide, methane, ozone, nitrous oxide and CFC-11.
This hands-on activity helped students explore how atoms combine in specific ratios to form molecules while investigating the structure of important greenhouse gases and their role in climate change.
Learning is always sweeter when you can build it... and maybe eat it afterwards!
