News from the Chicken Coop
Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
Thanks to the wonderful Carnovale family and Mel for taking such great care of our school chickens over the last few weekends. We hope you got some eggs and baked lots of delicious goodies with them, yum!
Chicken Duty Roster
Thank you to all the amazing families who have volunteered to do chicken duty this year. We really, really appreciate the way our school families have helped us to look after our chickens when the students are not at school. You are all amazing!
Free to a Good Home
If you or anyone you know would like to adopt 3 chickens please let us know. We have decided to rehome them in the best interest of their health.
We have had the chickens at school for just over 2 1/2 years. They are very friendly and are used to children. The chickens are available to take home anytime from Tuesday 2nd December.
We will be getting new chickens at school in the new year once the works next to the chicken yard are complete, less noise and less disruptions for them.
If you are interested please email Mel Kerwin at mkerwin@sjmitcham.catholic.edu.au. First in best dressed!
Gardening with Jan!
Jan and the gardening club continue to meet at lunchtimes on Thursdays. Come on up to the veggie garden and see what’s growing! Everyone is welcome!
