Year 1/2 Excursion - Community Services

Last week the Year 1/2s went on the train to Eastland. We have been learning to make better choices about how we package and store food and as part of our learning we made our own fruit skewers. The students loved weighing the produce, purchasing what we needed and making patterns out of the fruit on their own skewer. They took home 3 skewers so they could make their own at home too! 

Ceres Prep Excursion

Last Friday our Prep Students ventured into Ceres to discover and learn about other environments and the earth, helping to create a more sustainable world and classroom. They visited the many gardens at Ceres. This excursion was a fantastic, hands-on opportunity that linked directly to their inquiry learning on design technology. While exploring, students focused on finding materials that help our planet, observing how nature recycles resources, how food is grown sustainably, and how we can use different materials to support our environment.
