Maths 

In Miss Tamara’s Maths group, students have been exploring subtraction through hands-on activities and group work. They have been learning to count back to solve subtraction problems and enjoy using concrete materials to support their thinking. Recently, they have begun working on fact families, helping them to see the connection between addition and subtraction. The students are building confidence as they develop a deeper understanding of number relationships.

Inquiry 

In Writing and Inquiry, students have become experts in how bread, milk, or rice is produced. They can confidently explain the steps involved in production and the health benefits of their chosen food. Building on this knowledge, students have begun designing a package for their food product. As part of this task, they are thinking carefully about the information they include, the colours they use, and the images that will help make their packaging eye-catching and informative.
