Celebrating Learning

Kii everyone, 

We started our maths main lesson this week. This week we have been exploring and playing with the flexibility of numbers and renaming them. 

We practiced breaking numbers into place value parts to assist in addition and then explored with some open-ended problems. 

In practice time we have started exploring poetry. We looked at personification (which was fun) and repetition. We even had a crack at writing a song. Two kids came up with a chorus for us "It lit a fire in me, when I had an ice tea, and now I need a coffee'. Clearly a song for me! 

Next week in Main Lesson we will look at the bar model as a tool to help solve worded problems for addition and subtraction. In practice time we will continue exploring poetry.
