Term 3 in 5/6N!

Welcome to Term 3! We have enjoyed our first few weeks back at school and are ready for a busy, fun, and exciting term ahead.

Here are some of the events we have enjoyed so far:

Dioramas

Towards the end of last term, the 5/6 students were learning about natural disasters. We learnt about bushfires, floods, droughts, and cyclones. We also learnt how these natural disasters occur and the impacts they have on people's lives.

Valentina: "We all put a lot of effort and work into our dioramas, and they looked really good."

Leo: "Everyone learnt lots about natural disasters and how much damage they can cause."

Declan: "Lots of people made different dioramas. We had lots of fun making them, and we worked really hard on them."

Indonesian Day

Last Wednesday, we celebrated Indonesian Day! The students participated in many different activities throughout the day. As a class, we created our own batik, which is a traditional Indonesian textile art. The 5/6 students also ran a variety of activities throughout the day, and we finished with a whole-school assembly.

Dom: "Indonesian Day was very fun, and we had lots of activities to do!"

Hayden: "Dom and I made drinks for parents and teachers, and it was a great experience."

Penny: "On Indonesian Day, the 5/6 classes made traditional batik, which is a textile art."
