Positive Behaviour for Learning

This week we practice our assembly routine. Assemblies are an important feature for SJV routines. Over the year these are some of the reasons and ways we use assembly time.
Building School Culture through Routines
- Shared Identity: Our students gather for routines like the National Anthem and our school prayer.
- Teamwork: Everyone feels they belong to one big community.
- Good Values: Our school regularly revisits our three school values: Respect, Responsibility, and Resilience.
- Announcements: The Principal and School Captains share news about upcoming events and daily plans.
- Guest Speakers: Experts speak about health, safety, and community topics.
- Clear Rules: The school can communicate behaviour expectations and goals to all students at the same time.
Celebrating Success
- Awards: Students receive praise for putting our school values into action.
- Student Voice: Student leaders develop their public speaking skills by leading the assembly program.
- Talent: Students share their music, art, drama, and other talents with their peers.
