Book Week Parade

The pages of our favourite stories came to life at St Helena’s during the 2026 Book Week Parade, with students dressed as their favourite book characters. 

Our students and staff brought their favourite book characters to life with creativity, imagination, and enthusiasm.

A huge congratulations to our students, staff, and families for the outstanding effort and imagination that went into creating such fantastic costumes.

As part of our Book Week celebrations, students paired up with their buddies to read together and share their favourite stories whilst enjoying the beautiful Djilba sunshine!

Earlier in the week our Pre-Kindy children enjoyed a magical picnic inspired by the beloved book Possum Magic by Mem Fox. After listening to the story, they delighted in sharing a selection of foods featured in the book with their families.
