Term 4 library display topics
Check out the library’s book collections on display for the following events this term:
- Halloween (October 31) - Love spooky stories? We’ve got books to give you the fright of your life!
- Kalinda Science Week (Week 4) - Learn all about science, maths, engineering and tech with our huge collection of STEM books.
- Remembrance Day (November 11) - Beautiful picture stories and non-fiction books to commemorate those who have sacrificed their lives in war.
- World Children’s Day (November 20) - A collection of books about all kinds of kids all over the world. Also includes topics like self-esteem, emotions, bullying, keeping safe, and friendships.
- Christmas! - Our Christmas books will be out and ready for borrowing from the first week of November.
Library end-of-year dates
‘Overdue book’ notices will be sent home with your child in week 5 of this term, and again in week 10.
The final date for students to borrow this year will be Friday 28th November
All books (including ones at home) must be returned to the library by Friday December 12th.
The annual Kalinda Poetry and Story-writing competition & anthology!
Each year, Kalinda students from grades 3-6 are invited to write a poem or a story relating to the Book Week theme. This year, that theme was Book an Adventure!
This year’s winners will be announced at our upcoming assembly, so stay tuned…
