We acknowledge the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung People of the Kulin nation; past, present and those who will walk with us into the future. We acknowledge the rich and unique cultural and spiritual relationships to the land, waters and seas, educational practices and the hopes of all First Nations Peoples. We do this in the spirit of reconciliation as we move to a place of justice and partnership - together we work, learn, play and care for one another and this land.
Today, I had the pleasure of joining our Year 2 students at their day camp at Log Cabin Ranch in Monbulk. It was a fantastic day filled with adventure, teamwork, and plenty of smiles. These early camping experiences are an important step in helping our students build independence and confidence, preparing them for overnight camps in the years ahead. The students represented Kalinda beautifully, showing resilience, cooperation, and a wonderful sense of fun.

What a spectacular day we had for our Colour Run last Friday! Events like these remind us how important it is to create joyful memories at school. A huge thank you to our incredible Parents and Friends Association and the many volunteers who made the day possible. We also extend our gratitude to the brave teachers who volunteered to be slimed—it was certainly a highlight for the students!
We are thrilled to share that we raised over $10,000, which will go towards expanding our Community Plastic Recycling and 3D Printing tools in STEM. This initiative will support hands-on learning and environmental awareness for all students. Thank you again for your generous support!
As we approach the end of the year, our focus turns to helping students feel ready and excited for 2026. This year, we will hold two “Meet the Teacher” sessions to support a smooth transition into new classes. These sessions will take place on:
These opportunities allow students to connect with their 2026 teachers and classmates, helping them feel settled and confident for the year ahead.
A friendly but important reminder that e-scooters and e-bikes are strictly prohibited on our school grounds at all times—including during school hours, weekends, and holidays. This rule is in place to ensure everyone’s safety. If anyone is found bringing these onto school premises, the police will be contacted.
Thank you for helping us maintain a safe environment for all members of our community.
If you have not yet enrolled your child for 2026, you still can. Please contact the office on 03 9876 3289 or see our website for more information: https://www.kalinda.vic.edu.au/page/131/Foundation-2026-enrolments
We are kind. We are resilient. We are respectful.
