The Issue Highlights
Dear Families,
Art & Design Show Special
On Wednesday 26th November we held our annual Art & Design Show. Our Jackson Student Leadership Team (JSLT) did an amazing job at welcoming and hosting the event. Thanks to all of the parents, carers and family members who were able to attend. I think you'll agree with me, that our students are so talented. Thank you to Ane, Paul and Kieran for coordinating the exceptional work with our students and the evening.

Year 12 Graduates
Year 12 VPC students have finished school last Friday. I hope you all had a great time on your camp this week. We are looking forward to your Year 12 Graduation. I wish all of our graduates all the very best for your futures. We are very proud of your successes and achievements as you now enter the world of work.

Free public transport

From 1st January 2026, people aged 17 and under can travel free on all Victorian public transport services using a new youth myki card. This includes trams, trains, buses and coach services. Once students turn 18 they may be able to travel with a Victorian Student Pass or a concession ticket.
A new Youth myki card will be available for $5. Once purchased, Youth myki will unlock free travel on trains, trams and buses in Victoria. To access free travel students must tap the myki card on and off each time they travel. For areas that do not use myki cards, they must show their myki card to travel free.
More information about the youth myki card will be available later in Term 4, 2025 – refer to the myki types webpage on the Transport Victoria website. For more information about other travel options to school, and support for eligible students, refer to the Travelling to School webpage on the Victorian Government website.
Jackson KDC Farm

Success for the school farm at the Victorian schools Garden program awards!
Congratulations to Helena, Cam and our Hands On Learning students for winning second place for Best Habitat Garden Award and third place in the North Western Metro region at the 2025 Victorian Schools Garden Awards.
This week I was fortunate to join our students and families at the Jackson KDC Farm open day. It was amazing to see how much our students have done since my last visit.

Helena and Cam are very proud of all the students that have put so much time and effort into creating such a beautiful farm. Well done! Some of our students were even interviewed for the media coverage.
