We are nearly at the end of the 2025 VET year.
Most students will finish their VET courses in the last week of October. Some students will be invited to complete additional units to fully complete their certificates and their teachers will confirm this with them closer to the end of the normal VET program.
The 2026 VET Enrolment process will be completed in early term 4 and it has been very pleasing to see that most students have completed their applications in a timely manner and most will be able to secure the VET course of their choice. This will be confirmed verbally with students mid term 4. Students will receive a confirmation/welcome letter in mid December that will confirm their VET course, it’s location, start date, times, clothing requirements etc.
Students can expect to receive their end of year VET reports in the middle to end of November and certificates or statements of attainments toward the end of December.
If students need their results earlier to pass on to prospective employers please pop into the VET office and we can organise results to be fast tracked.
Term 3 in our VET courses have been very busy. Below are a few snapshots of students doing their thing:
The Certificate II in Sport and Recreation students from Concord visited Archery Attack in Reservoir and Attended an Industry Careers Tour at Carlton Football Club – Ikon Park:
The Health Services students completed their “Prepare and maintain beds” unit and so now they all know how to make their beds at home with hospital corners.
They also had a fantastic day visiting the Wattle Grove Aged Care Community in Lalor
Beauty students have been busy with their observation models completing their Manicure and Pedicure unit and Eyelash Extensions this term
Our Hair Salon Assistant students have been kept busy in the salon with producing visual merchandise displays and drying hair to shape.
VET Cookery students have been cooking up a storm in our Commercial Kitchen
We had a lovely visit from our local MP Bronwyn Halfpenny who was able to see our class in action.
