Year 9 Yoga

Year 9 Students Experience Yoga at Mulla Mulla Studio
Some of our Year 9 students recently had the opportunity to participate in a yoga session as part of their Health studies on mental health and wellbeing.
Throughout the term, students have been learning about strategies to help manage stress and support positive wellbeing. One of the key strategies explored in class was yoga, which can assist with relaxation, mindfulness, emotional regulation and managing stressful situations.
The session encouraged students to step outside of their comfort zones. After the session, students reflected on how yoga made them feel. Many shared that they felt calmer and more relaxed afterwards, while others explained that they found it challenging to keep their minds focused and still during the session.
When asked to describe the experience in one word, students responded with:
“Calm”
“Relaxed”
“Tired”
“Difficult”
