National Simultaneous Story time

A special highlight for our students was the visit to the College Library for National Simultaneous Storytime, where the chosen book, 'Luna Roo' was shared together in a fun and engaging reading session.

This special experience provided a valuable opportunity for students to connect and helped foster a strong sense of community within the College. Students thoroughly enjoyed participating in the story and engaging with one another throughout the session.

It was wonderful to see the library filled with enthusiasm as students came together to celebrate the joy of reading.

The Teddy Bears' Picnic

The Teddy Bears’ Picnic was a wonderful highlight for the children, who enjoyed bringing along their special toys to share with the group.

Throughout the day, they proudly paraded their teddy bears around the room, showing care and excitement as they introduced their special companions to friends. The children took part in teddy bear themed maths activities, where they explored early numeracy concepts in a fun and hands-on way.

One of the most memorable moments was decorating and icing a teddy bear biscuit, which they enjoyed together as a special treat to finish the celebration. It was a joyful experience that brought learning and creativity together in a meaningful way.

Our Friendly Police Visit

We were very fortunate to have three police officers visit and share the important work they do in our community. The children learned that police officers help keep people safe, support those in need, and can be approached if they are ever lost, scared, or need help.

The children enjoyed trying on uniforms, looking at equipment, and learning about handcuffs. They also visited the police cars, listened to the sirens, and had the exciting opportunity to sit inside for a photo.

A big thank you to Officer Adam (Kinsley’s dad), Officer Stew, and Officer Scott for their time and for sharing their knowledge. The children loved this hands-on experience and learned about when to call emergency services.
