70th Anniversary Mass

Honouring Our Past, Celebrating Our Future

As part of Mount Alvernia College's 70th Anniversary celebrations, students in Years 8, 9, 11 and 12 attended a special Anniversary Mass at St Stephen's Cathedral on 11 August 2026, while Years 7 and 10 participated via livestream from the College.

Held on the Feast of St Clare of Assisi, the Mass brought together students, staff, alumnae, invited guests and the Missionary Franciscan Sisters in thanksgiving for 70 years of Franciscan education, faith and service. 

Led by Fr Stephen Bliss, we were honoured to celebrate alongside the Sisters, whose vision and dedication laid the foundations of our College. Together, we gave thanks for the many people who have shaped Mount Alvernia over the past seven decades and celebrated this significant milestone in our College's history.
