Unit 3/4 Holiday Classes, Trial and Final Examinations

Over the forthcoming break, our VCE ATAR Unit 3/4 students will be preparing for their final VCAA Examinations.

Student feedback provided, via a focus group this year, indicated the value of holiday classes for our VCE students. With this in mind, VCE Unit 3/4 holiday classes will be held in a wide range of subjects in the first week of the forthcoming holidays. The aim of these classes will be to provide students with extra support in preparing for their Unit 3 and 4 Examinations. Classes will be held from Monday 18 September to Thursday 21 September. Details have been sent via Operoo and the schedule is available on the SEQTA Senior Certificates Student Information Portal Page. 

Although classes will not be compulsory, it is strongly recommended that students attend classes in their subjects. With final examinations fast approaching, all students are encouraged to take advantage of this opportunity. 

After the holiday classes, the Marian College Trial Examinations take place from Friday 22 September to Thursday 28 September. We have organised the Marian College Trial Examination Block, to provide essential, realistic examination practice for students in all of their Unit 3/4 subjects to ensure that students are prepared for their forthcoming VCAA Examinations. The Trial Examinations are compulsory.

It is essential that students prepare conscientiously for these trial examinations. In addition to providing a vital opportunity to practise examination techniques, the students will also receive valuable performance feedback from their teachers. This feedback should enable students to identify focus areas for their study and revision in the final weeks leading up to the VCAA Examinations. Examination success is the key to maximising VCE Study Scores, and consequently, the ATAR which determines university entrance.

After the holidays, the students will complete their final classes and then many will participate in our Marian Revision Program before their final examinations that commence on Tuesday 24 October.
