Wata Watnanda Education Day

On Friday 25 August, 3 of our students attended the Watta Watnanda Education for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Students in Catholic Secondary Schools Melbourne.

The program for the day consisted of A Mural Walk on St Georges Road and the AAL mural where they discussed the history of many indigenous icons that have made a difference to the Aboriginal Community, a detailed explanation of the Aboriginal Catholic Ministry history and creation and a Wellbeing session. These activities were on rotation and all students participated in each activity. Lunch was provided and the students then engaged in traditional Indigenous Games run by Wanyara.
