As we reach the end of Term 3, I would like to take the opportunity to reflect on what has been another busy and successful term in the Senior School. This part of the year is always significant, with Year 12 Trial HSC examinations, Year 11 examinations and Year 10 examinations providing students with the opportunity to demonstrate their learning, perseverance and commitment. I congratulate all students on the effort they have invested throughout this demanding period.

Yesterday we farewelled the Class of 2026 at their final Chapel Service and Graduation Assembly. These occasions are always a highlight of the term and a special opportunity to celebrate our Year 12 students and all they have achieved during their time at Trinity.

Saying goodbye to our Year 12 students is always a bittersweet moment. For many, Trinity has been their school community for a significant part of their lives. We have had the privilege of watching them grow from young students into capable, thoughtful and confident young adults. Their graduation is a moment of great pride for families, staff and the wider College community, but it is also a reminder of how much they will be missed.

It has been a privilege to work with this cohort throughout their journey at Trinity, and we wish them every success as they prepare for their HSC examinations and the opportunities that lie beyond school. We look forward to celebrating with them further over the coming weeks and following their future achievements with great interest.

I wish all students, staff and families a safe, restful and well-deserved term break. Thank you for your continued support throughout the term. I look forward to welcoming everyone back for a productive and exciting Term 4.

Year 12 Last Days

Breakfast & Celebration Day

On Wednesday, our Year 12 students enjoyed a fun-filled Celebration Day as they marked the end of their time at Trinity.

The day kicked off with some very creative dress-ups and a delicious breakfast, followed by a visit to our K–2 classrooms where students spent time with some of our littlest learners. They then gathered with their Houses for farewells and a chance to reflect on their years together, before taking on the staff in a fiercely competitive game of dodgeball!

No Year 12 farewell would be complete without Mr Patralakis’ famous rope tour of the school, before our graduating students headed off to begin their next chapter.

Final Chapel & Graduation Assembly

On Thursday, our Year 12 students gathered at St Matthew’s for a beautiful Chapel service, providing an opportunity to pause and reflect on their 13 years of schooling and the journey that has brought them to this milestone.

For many, the journey began back in Kindergarten, and it has been a privilege to watch them grow into the remarkable young men and women they are today.

This was followed by a special Graduation Assembly, where we celebrated the achievements and contributions of the Class of 2026. Inspiring speeches, awards and heartfelt moments made it a memorable morning for our graduates, their families and staff.

It was a fitting way to celebrate the end of their school journey and mark the beginning of an exciting new chapter.

Congratulations, Class of 2026! We are so proud of you and wish you every success for the future.

RUOK? Day

Today we acknowledged R U OK? Day.

Our lunchtime dance-off was a huge hit, with junior and senior students getting involved and making the most of the sunshine. It was wonderful to see students connecting, having fun and enjoying time together.

Relay for Life

Our Year 11 students have been working hard to raise funds for Relay for Life, taking place on Saturday 17 October.

Trinity has a proud history of supporting Relay for Life and has often been recognised as the organisation on the Border raising the most funds. This year, our Year 11 students are hoping to continue that tradition and make an even greater contribution to this important cause.

To support their fundraising efforts, Relay for Life has organised a raffle, which will be drawn on the day of the event. All money raised through the link below will go directly towards the Trinity teams’ fundraising total.

Year 12 Design & Technology Major Projects

This week, we had the opportunity to view the Year 12 Design & Technology Major Projects, providing a wonderful insight into the creativity, problem-solving and individual thinking of our students.

The Major Project is a significant undertaking, with students determining their own project and taking an idea through the design and development process. The result is a diverse range of projects, reflecting individual interests, passions and approaches to problem-solving.

It is always a highlight to see how an initial idea develops throughout the year and to see the finished products that students have worked so hard to create.

With their projects now complete, our Year 12 Design & Technology students can feel a well-deserved sense of accomplishment in what they have achieved.

SHAPE INCLUSION

We are delighted to announce that two of our students, Norah Johnston and Amelia Sullivan, have been nominated for possible inclusion in SHAPE. Congratulations to both students on this outstanding recognition of their work!

SHAPE showcases a selection of outstanding projects from HSC Design and Technology, Industrial Technology and Textiles and Design students. The exhibition will be held at the University of Technology Sydney from Tuesday 16 March to Wednesday 12 April 2027.

We wish Norah and Amelia all the best as their projects progress through the selection process.
