NSW CIS Athletics Championships

On Tuesday 22 September, several Trinity students represented RAS at the NSW CIS Secondary Athletics Championships, competing against some of the state's most talented young athletes.

Our students produced some fantastic performances across a range of track and field events, with several achieving personal bests and impressive top-eight finishes.

Ayira competed in the 100m sprint, shot put and long jump, finishing an impressive 7th overall in both the shot put and long jump.

Alyssa Jarrott delivered two outstanding performances in the throwing events, finishing 5th in Discus with a throw of 30.86m and shot put delivered a 6th place with a throw of 10.18m, Alyssa also had a terrific throw on Javelin taking out 12th place. 

Bailey Evans competed in the Boys 15 Years middle-distance events, achieving the following results:

• 800m – 6th place 
• 1500m – 7th place 

Josh Evans represented RAS in the Boys 13 Years throwing events, securing:

• Discus – 7th place 
• Shot put – 7th place 

Nikoletta enjoyed a fantastic day of competition, finishing 2nd in her 100m heat and 8th overall in long jump. She also achieved personal bests in both events!

Congratulations to all our athletes on their outstanding efforts and achievements at the state championships. Representing RAS at this level is a wonderful accomplishment, and we are incredibly proud of your performances!

Victorian Police Junior Hockey Cup

Congratulations to Sydney and Phoebe Pilkington, who competed in the Victorian Police Junior Hockey Cup in Melbourne on Wednesday.

Sydney captained her team to an impressive 3rd-place finish, while Phoebe's team secured 5th place.

Well done to both girls on their efforts and achievements!

Falcons U16 Girls – 2026 Premiers!

Congratulations to the Falcons U16 Girls Hockey Team, who were crowned 2026 Premiers following a thrilling Grand Final victory over SCOTS!

Four Trinity students - Lucy Kimball, Sydney Pilkington, Phoebe Pilkington and Grae Samson - were part of the Falcons team that demonstrated incredible determination and teamwork throughout a hard-fought match.

With scores locked at 1–1 at full time, the Grand Final came down to a tense penalty shootout. The Falcons girls held their nerve under pressure, securing the victory and bringing home the premiership!

It was a fantastic display of skill, teamwork and resilience, providing a fitting end to an outstanding season.

Congratulations to the entire Falcons U16 Girls team, and especially our four Trinity girls, on being crowned 2026 Premiers!

Staff vs Students Dodgeball

One of the biggest requests from our Year 12 students for their Celebration Day was the opportunity to throw big red balls at the staff of 2026. Naturally, we were more than happy to oblige!

Hundreds of enthusiastic supporters packed the MPH grandstands to witness an intense, all-out dodgeball showdown that brought out both the best and worst in everyone.

After a fiercely contested match, the students claimed a controversial victory, despite Mr Dekoyer sinking an incredible half-court shot that was mysteriously disallowed by our student announcers. Questions remain over the legitimacy of the result, but the Year 12s were more than happy to claim the win!

One thing is certain: there were plenty of sore bodies on the staff side come Thursday morning!
