Student Progress Meetings – Monday 12 October

Student Progress Meetings for students in Years 7–10 will be held on Monday 12 October, the first day of Term 4.

This will be a student-free day for Years 7–10, allowing teachers dedicated time to meet with students and families to discuss learning progress, celebrate growth and establish goals for the remainder of the year.

Year 11 students will participate in a special program on this day, with further information about the program to be shared with families next week.

Details about Student Progress Meeting bookings and the College’s online booking system will also be communicated to families next week.

Drop Off and Pick Up Zone

The safety of our students is our highest priority. To help maintain a safe and efficient traffic environment for all families, parents and carers are reminded that the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone is a designated no-parking area intended for the active loading and unloading of students only.

The zone is designed for brief stops to allow students to safely enter or exit a vehicle before the driver moves on promptly. It is not a waiting area.

As a guide, vehicles should remain in the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone for no more than 2 to 3 minutes. If your child is not ready for collection, or if you require additional time, please proceed to a designated parking space rather than waiting in the zone.

When vehicles remain in the zone for extended periods, congestion can occur, reducing visibility for pedestrians, increasing the risk of unsafe traffic movements, and creating delays for other families.

We ask drivers to:

• Pull forward to the furthest available point in the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone.
• Have students ready to enter or exit the vehicle promptly.
• Remain with the vehicle at all times.
• Move on immediately once students have been safely dropped off or picked up.
• Use a designated parking space if waiting is required.

By keeping the Drop Off and Pick Up Zone moving, we can improve traffic flow, reduce congestion, and most importantly provide a safer environment for students, families and staff during our busiest times of the day.
