College Matters

Show & Tell Night

A reminder to our current school community that even if you did it before you can do it again! If there is another member of your family who will be joining MGSC at Year 7 in upcoming years we encourage attendance at our 'Show & Tell Night' or a college tour. Timed before 2026 Year 7 placement applications being due on Friday 9 May, families with students in Year 4, 5 or 6 are especially encouraged to attend these events.

First Aid Faces

Our First Aid Office now has a team of three.  Between 10am and 2pm each day there is extra support, with two experienced and qualified nursing practioners join our full-time nurse Nikki Della Grazia in a shared role.  They introduce themselves.

Kirsty Turner -  Tuesday, Thursday & Friday

I have been a registered nurse for the past 16 years, working in hospices in Belfast, Dublin and England. In 2023 I moved to Australia for my husband’s work in AFL with our three children. Secondary school memories - My favourite subject was Drama and Theatre studies; I started dating my now husband in Year 9 and the First Aid Nurse was a lovely lady called Mrs Bedhead -  which all the kids used to think was quite funny.

Sophie Woods - Monday & Wednesday

Hello! I’m Sophie.  I’ll be in the First Aid office on Mondays and Wednesdays. On my time off, I’m at university completing the final year of my paramedicine degree. I love cooking and baking and would love to travel the world some day. I am super excited to be joining the team at MGSC!

Nikki Della Grazia - Monday to Friday

Wellbeing over the holidays

This guide provides tips to continue looking after your mental health and wellbeing during the school holidays and services to reach out to if you need support.
