Acting Principal's Message

Dear Parents, Staff, and Students
As we approach the end of a busy and productive term—filled with fun activities and meaningful learning programs—I want to take a moment to reflect on the last few weeks. There is truly never a dull moment at MGSC! 😊
With Parent-Teacher-Student Interviews just around the corner, it has been fantastic to see such high levels of engagement from families. Many teachers are fully booked, and we sincerely appreciate the strong partnership between home and school in supporting student learning. Your involvement plays a crucial role in your child’s progress, and we thank you for your time and commitment.
Last week, we celebrated Harmony Day, a vibrant occasion that highlighted the richness of cultures within our community. It was inspiring to see students and staff embracing the diversity that shapes our collective identity. Alongside this, we also acknowledged Neurodiversity Week in our classrooms, fostering greater understanding and appreciation for the different ways we learn and experience the world.
A huge congratulations to our Year 7 and 9 students who participated in NAPLAN. Completing these assessments is a significant achievement, and we commend all students for their effort and perseverance. We also extend our gratitude to the staff who supported them throughout the process. We look forward to celebrating the results when they arrive next term.
Well done to our Year 10 students and staff involved in The City Experience. We have received many positive reflections from students as they explored Melbourne and developed valuable independence, teamwork, and problem-solving skills. It is always wonderful to see learning extend beyond the classroom into real-world experiences.
Finally, as we enter the last days of term, we encourage students to stay focused, complete their required tasks, and finish strong before a well-earned break. Whether you are celebrating Eid and the end of Ramadan, Easter, Passover, or simply taking time to rest and reconnect with family and friends, we hope you have a safe and enjoyable holiday break.
Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to another exciting term ahead!
