Sun Project CBCA Shadow Judging 2025 – Expressions of Interest

The Children's Book Council of Australia is inviting young voices from across Australia to join the conversation about the books on their Book of the Year Shortlist. To find out more about Shadow Judging, please visit the CBCA website.  In a nutshell, the idea is for young adults to read alongside the CBCA judges to decide who they think the CBCA Young Adult Book of the Year Award 2025 winner should be!

Criteria:

  • Be 13 - 18 years of age
  • Read ALL of the six shortlisted books, to be announced at the end of April
  • Discuss these titles with your peers against the CBCA Book of the Year Awards criteria and create a response during lunchtime meetings
  • Vote for the 2023 winners.

If you meet the above criteria, and are up to this exciting challenge, email library@mgsc.vic.edu.au with your details before the end of Term 1.
