Federal Election Fundraiser BBQ and stall

MGSC will by a Polling Place on Saturday 3 May. The PFA will be running a fundraising BBQ and will be seeking assistance on the day or through donations.

A term in review

It’s hard to believe that we’re already nearing the end of Term 1 – what a busy term it’s been! We kicked off the year with the Year 7 Meet and Greet evening, where nearly 200 Year 7 parents joined us at the school. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to connect with one another and get to know others in the Year 7 cohort. We served refreshments, introduced the parents to the PFA, and shared how the association supports the school – a great way to meet new people. The atmosphere was fantastic, and I hope new friendships were formed.

In February, we also held our Annual General Meeting, where we said farewell to some

long-time volunteers and welcomed new ones to the team.

Our 2025 office bearers are:

● President: Sharon Wright

● Vice President: Tamara Campbell

● Treasurer: Kay De Silva

● Secretary: Linda McIntyre

Lastly, just this past Saturday, we hosted our Bevvies 'n' Balls Music Bingo Trivia night at

Rossdale Golf Course. With 128 attendees, the evening was filled with singing, bingo, golf

challenges, and plenty of laughter. It was a fantastic success, raising $3,200!

A huge thank you goes to Rossdale Golf Club, Bunnings Mentone, and our amazing hosts,

Bev and Baz. I’d also like to extend my appreciation to Jackie and Abigail for their dedication and hard work in organizing the event.
