MND Big Freeze – Free Dress Day | 25 June 2026

The SRC will be hosting a Big Freeze Free Dress Day on Thursday, 25 June, to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neuron Disease (MND) research. Students are invited to wear free dress and bring a gold coin donation, with all proceeds supporting MND research initiatives.

In the lead-up to the event, groups of students will deliver presentations to raise awareness and educate the school community about MND. On the day, SRC students will also be running a range of lunchtime activities, including an icy pole stall, face painting, and a beanie raffle. The VM BBQ team will be selling sausages to support the fundraiser, and both staff and students will have the opportunity to participate in an ice bucket challenge.

In addition to wearing KWRSC beanies, students may also wear official Big Freeze beanies from Week 6 of Term 2 (beginning 24 May) through until the end of term in support of the initiative.
