Year 12 Report
Year 12 students have had a busy and productive Term 2 with various academic and extracurricular activities. They have been completing SACs (VCE) & ALATs (VCE VM) along with the House Athletics, Music Festival, VCE Elevate Educate seminar, Careers Expo & Interschool Sport. These activities not only support academic development but also promote teamwork, physical fitness, creativity, and career readiness among students. General Achievement Test
A reminder that the GAT (General Achievement Test) is on Tuesday, 16th June. All students required to complete the GAT will attend an information session prior to the GAT to familiarise themselves with the process. The VCE VM session will be on Monday, 1st June, during period 4 & the VCE session will be on Tuesday, 9th June, during period 3. Students will also receive a GAT timetable & booklet during these sessions. Students will cover some more specific skills for the GAT in certain subjects.
Part A: Literacy (Writing & Reading) & Numeracy
9.00 – 11.15 am
All Year 12 VCE VM students
All Year 12 VCE students
Any Year 11 student completing a Unit 3-4 subject, including a VET
Students need to ensure that they arrive at school as close to 8.30 am as possible to allow time for dictionaries & equipment to be checked
Part B: General knowledge & skills
1.15 – 3.00 pm
All Year 12 VCE students
Any Year 12 VCE VM students completing a scored VET
Any Year 11 student completing a Unit 3-4 subject, including a scored VET
Uniform
As we move into the colder weather, it is important that all students continue to wear the correct uniform. Below are a few reminders from the uniform policy:
Scarves must be the KWRSC scarf available from the uniform shop, or a plain navy blue or white with no logos or writing
Additional layers of clothing may be worn underneath the uniform for added warmth, provided these undergarments are completely hidden.

The following is a reminder of some important dates to put in your diary:
Unit 3 Mid-year Trial exams: will run between Tuesday 9th & Friday 12th June
The timetable is available on your Compass Newsfeed
Unit 3-4 September Trial exams: Thursday 17th & Friday 18th September (last 2 days of term 3) & Monday 21st - Wednesday 23rd September (week 1 of the holiday period)
Year 12 Celebration Day – Tuesday 20th October
VCE written exam period – Monday 26th October to Wednesday 18th November
Valedictory – Friday 11th December
Term 2 has been dynamic and enriching for the students, setting a solid foundation as they prepare to move into Unit 4 later in the term.
