Level 2

Inquiry

The students have engaged wonderfully in our Inquiry unit this term about space! Over the last two weeks, they have taken all that they learned about what is in our solar system and used this knowledge to construct their own model solar systems in small groups. These include the sun, the planets (ordered correctly in their orbits) and other celestial bodies such as asteroids, moons and satellites. These solar systems, once complete, will be displayed outside the Level 2 classrooms up until the end of the year. Please feel free to come and see them if you are able.

XMas Party

As you are aware, our class Xmas parties are coming up in the last week of term on Thursday, 18th December. Students are invited to bring a plate of food to share with the class. Outside your child's classroom, you will find a sign-up sheet where you can write down what your child is bringing. Please add your child to this list as it will help us to avoid doubling up on food items. If you are unable to make it into school to do this, please contact your child's teacher and they can write it in for you. On the day, please ensure all ingredients for any home-made food are labelled as this will help us cater for any allergies.

Students are not required to participate in the class party. If you prefer, you are welcome to send your child with their own party lunchbox on the day. 

Kris Kringle

As part of our class parties, students are invited to participate in our Kris Kringle. To participate, they must bring a wrapped unisex present of up to $5 in value and place it under the classroom Christmas tree. Ensure your child informs their teacher that they have brought a present so they can have their name ticked off. Students must bring a present in order to take a present on the day. Students should bring their present to school by Monday 15th of December.
