Level 3

Welcome to our last newsletter for this year.
There have been lots of challenges that the students have taken in their stride - we have some very flexible students here at H.E.P.S.
The students participated in their first NAPLAN testing sessions that were handled well. We went on school camp to Mt Evelyn which were a fabulous few days. It was the first time at Senior Athletics and it was a huge success. Another amazing school production by everyone. And the list goes on...
Reading
Lately, students have been reading a novel within a 'Bookclub' to build their comprehension, collaborative, vocabulary and critical-thinking skills. It has been wonderful to see students making strong connections and growing in confidence as thoughtful, engaged readers.
Inquiry
The students have loved our hands-on designing and constructing of 'triaramas'. It has been so lovely to see their learning come to life through this project. They have been incredibly creative, bringing their 3D building models and constructions to life with imagination and enthusiasm.
Maths
Lately in Maths we have been learning about graphing and coordinates. The students absolutely loved our mystery coordinate graph, which revealed the favourite saying: “6 7.” We also enjoyed playing Battleships and practicing how to follow directions to find different locations on a grid. The class has had a lot of fun while building their spatial awareness and coordinate skills!
