JLA Students Celebrate Elephants' Arrival at Werribee Open Range Zoo
As part of our Biological Science Unit of Inquiry, “Survive and Thrive”, our JLA students enthusiastically entered a competition to win an excursion to Werribee Open Range Zoo.
To welcome the 9 Asian Elephants to their new home, the students collaborated to create a vibrant, eye-catching banner. Each elephant was beautifully decorated with colourful patterns and labelled with its name, showcasing the students’ excitement, creativity, and care for these majestic animals.
This collaborative project not only highlighted the students' artistic talents but also deepened their understanding of animal survival and conservation. It was a joyful experience that fostered teamwork and a strong sense of connection to the natural world.
We are so proud of our students for their thoughtful work and the compassion they showed through this meaningful project.
