Year 11 Geography Fieldwork

Wyndham’s finest geographers undertook fieldwork enquiry at the Field of Mars Reserve as a part of their studies on the Earth’s Natural Systems. Students collected primary data on a range of features such as tree heights, soil moisture, soil acidity, wind and air speed, foliage cover and types of vegetation.

All this data and much more contributed to their understanding of how different natural systems interact to keep a forest or a reserve healthy and productive. Well done to all students for their enthusiasm and critical thinking in the field.

PS: Shout out to Dave Parton and Nathan for driving us there and back.
