Harmony in the Library

Our library celebrated Harmony Day by creating an engaging space showcasing the importance of reading, creativity, and unity. The display featured a range of books from different cultures, authors, and genres that reflect stories from around the world.

Students had the opportunity to explore various themes related to diversity, tolerance, and the beauty of different cultures.

We encouraged students to discover books they might not normally pick up, to spark curiosity and open-mindedness. Students participated in creative activities that embraced the theme of Harmony Day and were invited to colour in designs that represented diversity and togetherness.

Year 11 English Studies - Mock Job Interviews in the Library

In an exciting start to their English Studies journey, Year 11 students recently took part in a mock job interview as part of their first English assessment task. Held in the school library, the activity aimed to combine practical life skills with the critical thinking and communication abilities students are developing in English class.

The mock interviews, led by their class teacher, provided students with the opportunity to put themselves in a professional setting and practice essential interview techniques. As part of the task, each student was asked to prepare for a simulated job interview, where they had to present their skills, experiences, and future aspirations in a clear and confident manner.

"This was a great way to put our English skills to use in a real-life scenario. It gave me a glimpse into what an actual job interview might feel like," said one of the students. "The feedback from our teacher was really helpful, and I feel more confident in my ability to speak about myself and my experiences now."

Well done to these students who worked hard in the Library. We hope your efforts lead to some excellent assessment marks.
