Student Leadership

Introducing our Senior School Captains for 2023

Hello, I am Dashel (Dash), I am in my final year of school and I thought what's a better way to end my schooling career than being one of the school captains. Being school captain is something that I have always wanted to do so having this role is awesome for me. Outside of school I enjoy mountain biking, car racing and playing hockey. As school captain I hope to increase our school's connection with its wider community.

My name is Molly, I'm currently a year 12 student as well as one of the two school captains. Some of the interests I have are playing netball, playing basketball and hanging out with mates. I would classify myself as a social person and someone easy to get along with. I applied for the role of school captain as I feel I'm a positive role model for younger children and a good person to involve all students, by the end of this year I want to achieve things such as more sporting events to suit all children's demands, more socialisation between the year levels and more confidence in myself and in my public speaking.

Hey my name’s Braithan and I’m currently a year 12 student as well as one of the two deputy school captains. I love music and sports and spending time with mates. I feel as though I’m a fun, approachable person and enjoy being a leader. I applied for school captain because I wanted to make an impact in my last year of schooling and be someone students can look up to and be comfortable with. I want to help improve the behind the scenes stuff around the school, like building the new gym with Dash, and hold fundraising events at the school, such as the Cystic Fibrosis fundraiser, which my sister and I run every year. I hope by the end of the year, my confidence will improve and students will be proud of what I have achieved.

Hey, name’s William and I’m in year 12 and one of the two deputy captains (D.C). Some of my interests are opal, playing games, reading, tattoos and hunting. Now why did I become a D.C? Well, I became one so I can show everyone that you don’t have to be an A + student to be a great role model. Now I don’t know what to change yet but I will know later in the school year.

Introducing our Junior School Captains for 2023

I am Ivy Linto and I am ten years old. My role is Junior School Captain. I applied because I want to help people who are less fortunate than me and so I can make the school a better place. I want to make sure everyone feels safe and everyone has someone to go to if they are upset or feel unsafe. My interests are that I love playing with my dogs and riding my bike.

My name is Bridie Hartas. I applied for Junior School Captain because I wanted to be a part of leadership and to become a great captain to my peers. While I am Junior School Captain, I will listen to all your thoughts, and bring them to meetings. If you want to get to know me, my hobbies are roller-blading, gaming, and netball. My favourite animal is a koala because they have big fluffy ears and a big round nose. I also like horses because of their long manes and their fur. That’s all you need to know about me!

I am Adelle Joubert and I am ten years old. My role is Junior School Deputy Captain. I applied because I want to help others and make Edenhope College a better place. I would like to make sure that everything is fair and everyone feels confident and happy about going to school. I love playing with all of my pets and running around playing with my friends.

I’m Mason Colgate and I’m a Junior School Deputy Captain. I think that I got voted in because I’m a good leader and I’m nice and helpful. I wanted to be a captain to help people with whatever they need. My interests are motorbikes, football, and sport in general.
