Sport

Our last Friday sport session was held on Friday 2nd June at OLOL in Prahran. It was great to see so many parents there supporting the teams. On Wednesday and Thursday the 7th and 8th June, St James sent 3 netball teams and 1 AFL team to the Holt District Lightning Premierships.

The netballers were very lucky that the weather held off and they were able to get through all of their rounds before a huge downpour of rain. All teams were happy with some wins, the A and B2 Teams made it through to the semi finals. Thank-you to Mrs Herbert and Mrs Fatouros for supporting the teams as well as myself. Once again we had fabulous support from our parents.

The AFL team were also very lucky with the weather clearing by their first bounce. The rain was very heavy overnight which made for a lot of fun in the mud and dirt but not so much fun for my washing machine!

The competition was tough this year and we didn’t come home with the trophy however, I am extremely proud of this year's team. The experience on the team ranged from none until Friday sport and to playing every weekend. Everyone on the team was valued and played a role in each of the games!
