Education Camp

22 year 12 students, Mary-Ann Linehan, Mr Reid and Mrs Glover travelled to Melbourne for the further education camp on July 16 and 17.

Students visited:

• RMIT, spending the day learning about Exam planning, Coding, Social work, Scholarships, Pathways and Uni life. A huge thank you to RMIT for the continued support of our students which enables them to experience the camp.
• University of Melbourne presentation and dinner at University College.
• Victoria University tour and presentation/pathways
• Deakin University tour and presentation/pathways
• Latrobe university tour, accommodation, presentation and career conversations.

Students return to school with a good indication of institutions and pathways for further study before selections begin for 2020.

Many of the institutions we visit are dual education which can accommodate VCAL students to transition into university study.

When visiting the facilities we always come across former students who greet us with huge smiles and stories of their life after SHS.
