Walkathon Update

At today’s College Assembly, the boys were given Walkathon updates and information about Walkathon prizes.

When donations for individual students reach specific targets, they may collect a rugby or football prize from Student Administration (for boys in Years 7 to 12), or rugby, football or squishy ball prize from Primary Reception (for boys in Years 5 and 6).  NB: Squishy balls will arrive at Primary Reception by the end of next week.

Students are reminded to take note of the change to the top raffle prize from previous years:

  • State of Origin tickets for Game 2 at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday 27 June
    (2 x tickets for years 5 to 7; 2 x tickets for years 8 to 12)

Any student who raises $200 will get a ticket in a raffle for 2 tickets for Game 2 of the State of Origin. Every $50 raised after that, will attract another ticket in the raffle.

The State of Origin tickets will be drawn at the end of Term 2.

Many Houses have raised between $200 and $800 so far, with the Primary School doing very well with just over $1,100.

There are life-sized ‘thermometers’ at the Podium in the Main Yard to show students how their House fundraising is progressing.  Each Friday until Walkathon, the student who has raised the most funds for their House for that week, will be rewarded with the opportunity to colour their House thermometer.

Students are reminded that additional donation cards can be collected from Primary Reception or Student Admin, to pass onto neighbours, friends and family.

All money raised goes to P&F who have indicated they plan on using the funds to make enhancements to the Champagnat Centre.

We encourage all students and families to support P&F in this very worthwhile College event.
