 Year 7 Sport

Year 7 Interschool Sport is a fun time for our new students and the gym was a buzz with excited kids ready to head out to represent Cheltenham for the first time. We are very proud of our Year 7 students and thank them for displaying our school values throughout the challenging weather.

Year 7 students have been sent a Google form for Term 2 sport selections in their Compass News Feed.

Year 8 Sport

It was a fantastic group of enthusiastic Year 8 students who took part in Interschool Sport in Term 1. With four fabulous teams coming home victorious in the Beachside Division, all the students had a great day out.

Congratulations to our Baseball Boys and Softball Girls who will compete in the Southern Metro finals in Term 2 and our Cricket Boys who will go on to the quarter-finals in Term 4.

Our Year 8 Lawn Bowls group were outstanding in their Beachside Round Robin and their success was not short-lived.  Within just a few days Madi, Ayla and Ethan headed back to Hampton Park Bowls to compete in the Southern Metropolitan Regional Final. Bringing home the blue flag is the ticket to State Finals which they will travel to in Term 2. They will need to get up early for the trip to Sunbury. We wish them well and thank Mr Minster for his coaching and support.

What a comeback!

The Year 8 Lawn Bowls Regional Final match was over 10 ends against McKinnon SC. Cheltenham were down 8-4 after 7 ends, but then got a 3 and 4 in the 8th and 9th end to come back and eventually win 12-10!
