Wagga Taste of TAFE Day

When: Friday 21 June

Where: Riverina TAFE

Riverina TAFE are holding a Taste of TAFE day for students in Years 10, 11 and 12. TAFE will be showcasing its Wagga campus and the courses that it has on offer. This is a great opportunity for students to experience an adult learning environment and explore pathways.

Excursion forms have been distributed to students and can also be accessed via Skoolbag. Please note places are limited.

 

Riverina Trades Expo

When: Thursday 13 June

Where: Rules Club, Wagga

Any student in Years 10, 11 or 12 who is interested in pursuing a career in a construction trade are invited to attend.

Wagga Careers Expo

When: Wednesday 19 June

Where: Australian Clay Target Association Conference Centre

Cost: $2 payable on the day

This is a great opportunity for senior students and parents to connect with universities, employers and providers of further education.

All Year 11 students will be attending this as a school excursion. Year 12 students are encouraged to attend with their parents as the date will fall on a rostered study day. 

 

University of Melbourne

The University of Melbourne would like to invite students to attend the next Information Day for Interstate Students

When: Friday 12 July

Time: 8.30am - 6.00pm

Where: Kathleen Fitzpatrick Theatre, Parkville Campus

The day will focus on aspects of the university that are of greater concern to interstate students including: application process, scholarships, student services, accommodation options and financial assistance.

Participants will have an opportunity to ask current University of Melbourne students who have come from interstate about their experience and how they managed the transition. The program will also include a campus tour followed by a free lunch at one of the residential colleges and a college tour.

Macquarie University Early Entry Scheme

Macquarie Leaders and Achievers is a new early entry program that recognises a student’s academic performance alongside their extracurricular activities that demonstrate leadership, community service and personal achievement.  

Year 12 students who meet the criteria are offered a place in their preferred degree before the HSC examinations.

 

How To Apply - Students complete an online application and have a school representative endorse their application.
