From the Music Department

Thank you to all students and staff who made our recent Gala Concert such a wonderful concert, especially with our version of “Roar” for mass choir and orchestra in the finale. Thank you to all our year 12 musicians for their great contribution to the program over the past 6 years and we wish them all the best for their upcoming exams and beyond.

We have just commenced 2019 with all new ensembles this week. Any students who would like to join our program, now is a good time. Please contact our Performing Arts Secretary Mrs Sedergreen  via email, rsedergreen@ringwoodsc.vic.edu.au , if interested.

Band Tour rehearsals are well under way and due to the overwhelming response from local primary schools, we are presenting two concerts prior to departure. Concerts are on Thursday 25 October. Concert no.1, 12 – 1pm, is sold out and Concert no. 2, already has 200 students attending.

On our return from Band Tour, the Home Coming Concert will be the following Wednesday 7 November, commencing at 7.00 pm. The concert will be on the school oval and will not proceed if the weather is inclement. A decision will be made on Wednesday morning.
